We know the strength that comes from a dedicated team. Our sports medicine physicians are board-certified and fellowship-trained in primary care sports medicine or orthopaedic sports medicine. We’re here to help athletes of all ages and levels relieve pain and restore function.

With us, you’re also connected to the ProMedica Physicians network, with over 2,100 providers in more than 55 specialties across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. So you’re covered if additional testing or evaluation is needed. This multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach covers all elements of sports medicine.

Sports injuries come in all shapes and sizes. Our team approach covers all areas of sports medicine. We connect patients with many specialists for the best outcome for any injury.

You will be evaluated by our sports medicine team to determine an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan.

Treatment Options

We offer non-surgical and surgical treatments to get patients back in the game. We work with patients to create a treatment plan that’s based on their personal fitness, mobility and strength goals. Every patient meets with a sports medicine physician and staff. The team will make sure all questions are answered before moving forward with a procedure.

Our minimally invasive procedures and treatments include bracing, casting, rehabilitation, injections and regenerative medicine procedures.

We work with every patient on non-surgical orthopaedic treatments before a surgical procedure is recommended. If surgery is the best option for recovery, we connect patients to the sports orthopaedic surgeons at ProMedica Orthopaedic Institute and specialized surgical care at ProMedica Wildwood Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital.

Rehabilitation

Our goal is the same as yours: to get you back out there safely and as quickly as possible. Our sports-oriented therapy programs were created by rehabilitation experts to do just that. We’ll work with you to restore your function and get you moving again without pain.

Our evidence-based rehabilitative protocols help manage the most common sports-related injuries with surgical and non-surgical treatments. We have physical therapists who are certified in Sportsmetrics™ ACL return-to-play rehabilitation program. We also have physical therapists who are certified in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy to increase lower extremity strength following knee injury or surgery.

Expedited Care

We provide fast and easy access to high quality care by leading sports medicine physicians in northwest Ohio. This includes expedited in-office evaluation, imaging and physical therapy services to get athletes back in the game as soon as possible.

Prevention

We know that prevention is key to avoiding injury or re-injury. Our institute provides strength and conditioning and injury-prevention programs to keep the bones, muscles and joints ready to withstand the movement needed by athletes of every level.

Return to Play

Our team can help you return to your sport safely. We have physical therapists who are certified in the Sportsmetrics™ ACL return-to-play program and in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy to increase lower extremity strength following knee injury or surgery.
