Marshall Ochi, DO, has the role of performing comprehensive tiered physicals that utilize the most cutting-edge technologies at Icaria. He also assists in the creation of protocols utilized for the advanced testing performed at Icaria.

Dr. Ochi has worked as a certified athletic trainer (ACT) and strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) at the high school, junior college, NCAA Division III and NCAA Division 1 (FCS) levels of competition. He also worked as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) doing both radiography and CT in the hospital and outpatient settings. While a CT tech, he performed Cardiac CT studies and 3D reconstructions for any CT angiography studies done. Additionally, he completed graduate research in exercise physiology and biomechanics, as well as taught multiple college courses including anatomic kinesiology and introduction to athletic training.

Currently, Dr. Ochi is a team physician and provides sideline coverage for multiple local high schools, the University of Toledo, the Toledo Walleye and the Toledo Mud Hens.

Due to his background in athletic training and strength and conditioning, as well as his research interests in biomechanics and sports nutrition, Dr. Ochi has pursued building a practice that integrates functional analysis, nutrition and current health care guidelines to optimize patient health. In the process, Dr. Ochi strives to help patients take control of their health by educating them on the whys, not just the whats, of their health care. This philosophy in turn helps to optimize health and longevity for patients.
