Megan Talty, DO has identified with the holistic approach to patient care since she chose to pursue osteopathic medicine. She studied Exercise Physiology at the University of Dayton. There, she also served as a collegiate EMT, but she constantly wanted to know more about her patients than EMS would allow. These interests led her to family medicine and eventually sports medicine. She completed medical school at Kansas City University - College of Osteopathic Medicine before her residency training in family medicine at Beaumont Troy Hospital and fellowship in sports medicine here at the University of Toledo. She is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine.
Dr. Talty believes it is important to look at a variety of factors that impact her patients’ health. She particularly enjoys exploring diet and exercise, which are integral to longevity medicine. Icaria allows for a unique deep dive into many factors which impact health long term. She continues this holistic approach to patient care through her work with Icaria. As a runner herself, she likes to find ways to keep her patients active and meet their goals. Through Icaria, Dr. Talty can help patients to stay healthy and active for years to come.
