Give the Gift of Thanks

Patients and their families often desire ways to say “thank you” for the care they or their loved ones receive from our care teams. The ProMedica Grateful Patient and Family Philanthropy program provides an opportunity to advance our Mission of improving health and well-being through philanthropy.

Grateful Giving

At ProMedica, we’re deeply committed to providing integrated care for our patients. We aim to help people reach their highest potential for health at every stage of life. Thanks to the generosity of individuals and families, ProMedica can make a larger impact on individuals, as well as the community.

Philanthropy allows ProMedica to:

  • Optimize research.
  • Offer innovation.
  • Build needed facilities and purchase state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Strengthen and sustain important patient-centered programs and services that come alongside high-quality, safe, compassionate care.

Molly’s Story

A healthy, active executive in her early 50s, Molly never thought her headaches were due to a ruptured brain aneurysm in a very critical area of her brain. The life-saving care she received from ProMedica’s neurology team helped her get back to the life she knew. In appreciation, she donated a significant gift in honor of Dr. Syed Zaidi, who is part of the ProMedica Stroke Network and the neurology ICU team at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

If your life has been touched by a member of the ProMedica team, please consider making a gift in their honor.

We want to hear how a ProMedica caregiver or employee has impacted your experience. A Grateful Patient story is much more than an expression of thanks. When you share your words of gratitude, you are celebrating and encouraging all health care professionals, volunteers and those who support their efforts. It serves as a special reminder of why we do what we do.

Words from Grateful Patients

“Thank you for arranging the tour of the amazing new NICU. It is a world away from the 31 years ago! I am still marveling at the advancements including the milk room and the lovely private suits for those little miracle babies. I appreciate the thoughtful work being done to make it comfortable for those parents during such a stressful time. Many thanks!“

“I made my donation to the Children’s Hospital because of my daughter. My husband and I were just reminiscing on all ProMedica did to help her for months on end starting at five weeks old! Now she’s almost three and thriving!”

- Clay Center, Ohio

“We are so appreciative of Dr. Lewis. Our son had a knee issue that required special care and Dr. Lewis and his team were remarkable. He’s such an asset to the Toledo Medical Community. It was wonderful to know our son was in great hands!”

- Rebecca & Greg S. | Toledo, Ohio

“We support the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital and the Debbie Brass Children’s Cancer Center because, when our family needed it most, we were given tremendous support by the caring medical staff and doctors in the clinic. Knowing that these heroes continue their mission to helps kids and families every day is both humbling and comforting. We can’t thank these amazing people enough.“
