Clinical Support Areas
We are looking for caring individuals with high standards of integrity to serve our patients and their families. Full-time and part-time, entry-level positions with minimal experience required are available. Learn more about some of our clinical support areas below.
Medical Assistants
Work alongside our providers as you gain experience in family medicine, specialty or urgent care environments. ProMedica offers many opportunities to support you throughout your career journey, from advanced clinical roles to non-clinical professional pathways for growth that can begin taking advantage of our paid MA training program.
Patient Care Technician
Patient care technicians (PCTs) are an integral part of the nursing team and play a vital role in caring for the health and safety of our patients every day. PCTs provide daily care for our patients and are genuine ambassadors for ProMedica as they interact with our patients and visitors in acute care settings. This position requires no STNA certification and due to the development support ProMedica offers, it is often the first step in a health care career journey.
Patient Transporters
Partner with the entire health care team to help patients smoothly transition throughout their care. You will gain a great understanding of how our hospitals operate. You will also make conversations and connections to help patients feel more comfortable during their visit.
Phlebotomy
Phlebotomists are a critical part of the patient care team. Patients greatly value the skill of our phlebotomists as they expertly collect blood samples from patients of all ages to run diagnostic tests. Phlebotomists play a key role in putting patients at ease and providing an exceptional customer service experience. ProMedica supports your professional growth and development in many ways as you start your laboratory career journey with us.
Sterile Processing
Our Sterile Processing team plays a pivotal role in patient safety by ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are sterile and properly cleaned. You will gain experience in a clinical setting without exposure to direct patient care. Due to the development support ProMedica offers, this is often the first step in a health care career journey.

I am able to utilize all of my skills and go to any office and provide care. I love being able to travel and work at a different office and specialty every day; I still feel like I get to learn new things every day. The best part about working for ProMedica for me has been the feeling I get at the end of a shift. Knowing that I have been able to help someone is a pretty awesome feeling. ProMedica has also allowed me to have the flexibility in my schedule that allows me to help take care of family and still do what I love and help others.
