Nephrology

Our inpatient nephrology services provide personalized care for hospital patients with disorders affecting the kidneys. This includes hypertension, hematuria, proteinuria, electrolyte disorders, glomerulonephritis (kidney inflammation) and transplant planning.

Our hospital services include:

• Continuous hemofiltration, for patients with acute renal failure.
• Closed renal biopsies, to test a sample of kidney tissue.
• Hemodialysis.
• Peritoneal dialysis, to filter the blood using the lining of the belly.
• Percutaneous placement of central venous access catheters for hemodialysis.
• Tenckhoff catheter placement and removal.
• Abdominal paracentesis, to drain excess abdominal fluid.
