The sponsored research arm of the ProMedica Research Department facilitates clinical trial management sponsored by for-profit, nonprofit, or government agencies. The sponsored research enterprise consists of procurement of clinical trials, budget and contract negotiations, and clinical research coordination.

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a committee whose purpose is to ensure the rights and welfare of those who volunteer to participate in research. The IRB is authorized to review all types of research on human subjects, including projects not subject to federal oversight. The ProMedica IRB Office provides consultation visits on research proposals upon investigator request.
IRBManager is an electronic system for IRB application submission and management of IRB-related study records. The system provides automation of the IRB application and review process with conditioned questions, electronic signatures and routing, and email notifications. It also allows for collaboration between researchers when completing the IRB application during IRB review of the application. This web-based system maintains all IRB-related records for your studies in one central place.
To initially access IRBManager, you need to have a user login enabled. Please email phsirb@promedica.org to request a login. Once your login has been enabled, you will receive an email with instructions to access the IRBManager system.
