Improving Health in East Adrian

Ebeid Center at Comstock is the hub of Adrian Ebeid Neighborhood Promise (ENP), which addresses social and economic disparities that affect health in east Adrian. Over the past two years, Adrian ENP has partnered with more than 50 organizations to provide community-based free programming around education, economic stability and overall well-being.

Ebeid Center Programming

East Adrian Coalition

The East Adrian Community Coalition fosters a sense of belonging among residents. The coalition makes sure residents' concerns and goals shape the community's future. Members meet monthly to plan events, share resources and build connections. Together, they create a stronger, more united East Adrian.

Road to Restoration

Road to restoration is a free mobile clinic that helps Michigan residents get their driver’s license back. Attendees meet one-on-one with Michigan Department of State staff and attorneys. They learn what steps are needed to restore their driver’s license.

Financial Empowerment

Financial empowerment education helps people gain the knowledge and skills they need to achieve long-term financial stability. Through a variety of courses, participants gain the confidence to make smart decisions about housing, education and jobs.

Adrian ENP is proud to partner with the Community Action Agency to bring these resources to our community.

Literacy Pop-Ups

The Literacy Pop-Up event in east Adrian is a dynamic educational experience for youth. In partnership with the Lenawee Intermediate School District, this initiative fosters a love for reading and learning. The event features interactive literacy labs, STEM stations, crafts, and structured reading and writing exercises.

Our Stories

"I am one that has a lot of challenges, so I find it encouraging to come to something like YMCA – Body Burn because it is at zero cost and a convenient location. The instructor adapts to each student’s physical challenges. Thank you Ebeid and YMCA for providing this activity."

Patti Zorn

"The Yoga for Seniors program offered at the Adrian Ebeid Center is a well-received initiative supporting the health and well-being of older adults in Adrian. Initially, it was a great opportunity to get out of the house and the class was free. Now, I realize the benefits include enhanced strength and flexibility."

Brenda Dennis

"Working with the East Adrian Community Coalition has been inspiring. I have enjoyed seeing people come together to create positive opportunities and events. It has given me an opportunity to grow personally and professionally by working alongside different community members from different backgrounds, gaining hands-on leadership and public speaking experience."

Kyeeir Russell

"Getting Ahead is helping me with financial management and problem solving. Understanding income to debt ratio, using credit only when necessary. I give this class a 10."
