Flower Hospital’s behavioral health department provides compassionate care for adults (ages 18+) in a safe, therapeutic environment. As an acute stabilization facility, we’re available 24/7 to treat individuals in an active behavioral health crisis. Our specially trained professionals and nurses care for patients with a wide variety of conditions, and help create a safe, effective discharge plan to help individuals transition home.

Flower Hospital’s inpatient behavioral health department has 21 licensed psychiatric intensive care beds and 51 psychiatric acute care beds. Each room has a window with a view of Sylvania and there is an open, well-lit day area for socialization, programming and free time.

Providing safe, effective care for our patients includes patient advocacy. Our patient advocate is designated by our hospital department and works as a neutral party to ensure that the patient’s rights and safety are protected. This patient advocate also assures compliance with the patient rights and grievance procedure rule.
