Market on the Green is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community by increasing access to affordable, healthy food, delivering nutritional education and providing job training opportunities. It's "where healthy living takes root."
The market is made possible by a generous donation from philanthropist Russell Ebeid.
Market on the Green is a full service grocer featuring local vendors.
Market on the Green, the cornerstone of the Center, is a full-service grocery market offering fresh and affordable healthy food choices to a designated food desert. At the market, you'll find fresh, local produce and foods, as well as fresh meat, dairy, locally baked goods and frozen foods. You'll also find everyday necessities, such as toiletries and pet food.
Market on the Green is also proud to support local vendors, such as Toledo's Sam Okun Produce Company, Amish-made goods from Walnut Creek Foods, and coffee from Flying Rhino Coffee & Chocolate.
The second floor of the Center features a teaching kitchen and additional community programs, such as health resources, financial literacy and job training programming.
ProMedica is the first health system in the nation to operate a Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). The program, in collaboration with LISC, United Way and the Toledo Community Foundation, offers free financial coaching in a group and one-on-one setting to people of all zip codes and incomes. All FOC coaches are also trained in the Accenture career success curriculum to assist clients in achieving their employment goals.
