TOLEDO, Ohio – ProMedica announced today the appointment of three members to its board of trustees, bringing the total number of board members to 15.
The new board members are Michael (Mike) Bauer, James Bingle, M.D., and Darrell Campbell, Jr., M.D., who will all serve as at-large members.
Michael (Mike) Bauer serves as chief executive officer at Libbey Inc. Mr. Bauer joined Libbey in 2019 from Fortune Brands Home & Security, Inc., where he spent 21 years, serving most recently as president of The Master Lock Company. Additionally, he has held various accounting and finance leadership roles at other companies, including Moen, Nook Industries, and Avery Dennison.
James Bingle, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist with ProMedica Physicians Cardiology, where he has practiced for 37 years. He is semi-retired, seeing new patients part-time and volunteering at Compassion Health Center. He held multiple positions within the medical staff at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Additionally, he served as the initial president of the ProMedica Heart and Vascular Institute from 2011-2016.
Darrell Campbell, Jr., M.D. currently serves as professor of surgery, emeritus, Department of Surgery at Michigan Medicine and associate director at Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative. Previously, he held the positions of chief medical officer and chief of staff at University of Michigan Health System.
