ProMedica Russell J Ebeid Children's Hospital - Pediatric Sedation Infusion and Vascular Access

General Overview

The Sedation Infusion and Vascular Access Center is located on the fourth floor of ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital. The outpatient center was updated in January 2022 and consists of one bronchoscopy room, six private infusion rooms, one treatment and one procedure room.

Services at this Location

The patients cared for range from new born to 17 years of age, and are seeking procedural sedation for minor tests and procedures, recurring infusions, and vascular access health care needs, such as, but not limited to:

• Sedation for minor procedures/testing- MRI, CT, Nuc Med, Interventional Radiology, Gastrics, Audiology, EEG, Echocardiogram, PICC Insertion, and Lumbar Punctures
• Pediatric Intravenous device placement for Radiology, Hematology/Oncology, and hospitalized patients experiencing difficult vascular access.
• Ultrasound guided vascular access- lab draws, peripheral IVs, Midlines, and PICC line insertion.
• Central line declotting and troubleshooting
• Intravenous infusions, enzyme replacement therapy, and immunoglobulin therapy
• Stimulation testing
• Bronchoscopy and Upper Airway evaluations- provide nursing care and assist for pediatric/neonatal non-sedated and general anesthesia bronchoscopy
• Urinary catheter placement for fluoroscopy and nuclear medicine studies
