Bringing Health Care to You in Newark and Granville
You now have better access to world-class health care where, when and how you need it. Owens Corning (OC) Newark and Granville employees (and their eligible dependents ages 7 and up) now have access to outstanding health and wellness services provided on-site by ProMedica.
ProMedica’s expert team is dedicated to helping you improve your health and well-being by providing coordinated, customized and convenient physician-led primary care and wellness services. Our physician and Nurse Practitioner are supported by a registered nurse, two medical assistants, exercise physiologist and a dietitian/wellness coach. A physical therapist is available on site two days a week.
Preventive, acute and episodic primary care are available at the clinic, in addition to routine workplace screenings, immunizations and more. Meet our clinic experts.
Additionally, the clinic staff will work with ProMedica’s team of certified exercise specialists at the Owens Corning Wellness Center to ensure that exercise is part of your care plan.
The on-site fitness center is designed to offer you a convenient solution to meet your fitness and health care needs. Enjoy a full range of exercise equipment that can accommodate a variety of fitness levels.
Script4Fitness is a free 90-day program for individuals who have been referred by our providers. It is designed to help improve strength, balance, flexibility, energy and overall health. It’s available to members and nonmembers of the fitness center. Script4Fitness includes individual training with a certified exercise physiologist for individuals who have a chronic health issue, need to lose weight for surgery, or those undergoing physical therapy.
Access the knowledge and experience of one of our certified exercise physiologists to see faster results and avoid injury. Individual training is available, as well as group training (3 – 5 people). Our exercise physiologists can also create a customized exercise program for you to follow on your own. All services are free of charge to OC employees. Dependents over the age of 18 can meet with an exercise physiologist and develop a home workout plan, free of charge. All appointment types can be done as a virtual meeting. Personal training sessions, initial consults, or follow-ups can all be conducted via the internet. Doing appointments this way makes it more convenient for you. You will not necessarily need to come in for a face-to-face meeting, saving you time!
If physical therapy would be beneficial for your care, you will work closely with our physical therapist, physiologist and providers to coordinate a plan that will achieve the best possible outcome. Physical therapy orders/prescriptions from outside physicians will also be accepted. Therapy services are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There’s also specialized equipment for physical therapy services.
Nutrition counseling is a personalized approach to a proper and balanced nutrition plan providing you with the knowledge and tools to make healthy choices. This program is tailored to your specific needs and desires, which may include weight loss, minimizing health risks, meal planning, and much more.
Wellness coaching helps you develop a plan to reach your goals and support you along your journey to a happier, healthier productive life. Individuals can set goals that matter to them and their health, such as losing weight, managing stress, and increasing physical activity.
