Jobst Vascular Laboratory provides state-of-the-art non-invasive diagnostic vascular tests.

A duplex ultrasound uses sound waves to take pictures of your vessels and a Doppler to listen to blood flow through your arteries and veins. The exam does not require the use of needles or dyes and provides invaluable information for your physician.

Studies performed include:

• Cerebrovascular studies of the blood flow to the brain: Carotid artery duplex, transcranial artery duplex (TCD).
• Venous studies including: DVT (deep venous thrombosis), CVI (chronic venous insufficiency)
• Arterial studies to determine the amount of blood flow in your arms and legs: ankle-brachial Index (ABI), pulse volume recording (PVR), segmental pressures, duplex ultrasound and graft surveillance.
• Abdominal studies to check the blood flow in the arteries and veins in the abdominal cavity: ultrasound of the inferior vena cava, Iliac veins and arteries, aorta, kidney and visceral arteries.
