ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital - Emergency Center

As a Level III Trauma Center, we provide emergency room (ER) care for life-threatening injuries and conditions. We’re a designated trauma care resource for patients of all ages, with 24/7 access to medical staff, board-certified physicians, general surgeons and rapid specialist availability.

If you need advanced or specialized care, the ProMedica Transportation Network (air and mobile) can provide rapid transports to ProMedica Toledo Hospital when needed.

ProMedica Express Care for Minor Illnesses and Injuries

ProMedica Express Care in Defiance, Ohio, offers walk-in care for adults and children with minor illnesses and injuries. Located within the emergency department, Express Care is open Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Our team will help you determine if Express Care or emergency room services are right for your needs.

Additional Services

Outpatient oncology and infusion services ordered by a licensed physician may be provided in the emergency department when oncology and infusion is closed. Services may include urinary catheter insertion, dressing changes, NG tube insertion, IV therapy and injections.
