As an anchor institution, we are also increasingly focused on the factors outside of our walls that affect health and well-being.
Beginning July 20, 2026, the City of Defiance will begin a roadway improvement project that will temporarily close a portion of Ralston Avenue, directly affecting the primary entrance used by patients, visitors, and employees traveling to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital.
Construction of a temporary access road will begin July 6, ahead of the Ralston Avenue closure.
The hospital will remain open and fully accessible throughout the duration of construction.
