Longitudinal Learning Experiences

Practice Management

  • Participate in weekend clinical staffing every 3rd weekend
  • Participate in weekday pharmacy staffing, providing evening clinical and staffing support between the hours of 1700 and 2100 once a week
  • Attend monthly Professional Development Series sessions that include experiential/ staffing debriefing and career enhancement discussions
     

Research and Quality Improvement

  • Completion of a medication use evaluation (MUE) or health-system based quality improvement project. Project findings will be presented at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting
  • Completion of a clinical research project that will be presented at the regional Ohio Pharmacy Residency Conference. Residents will also be required to prepare a manuscript suitable for publication in order to fulfill graduation requirements
  • Participate in a longitudinal Research Certificate program, designed to provide support with study design, statistical analysis, literature review, and manuscript preparation

Teaching and Learning Curriculum Program

  • Participate in the Teaching and Learning Curriculum Program (TLCP) in collaboration with other Toledo-area pharmacy residents. The program is coordinated by University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences faculty and staff.
