Our Mission at ProMedica is to improve our patients’ health and well-being. One way we’re able to fulfill this Mission is by consistently improving ourselves with Continuing Medical Education. We’re constantly in search of relevant medical topics, the latest research and cutting-edge treatments.
Our Continuing Medical Education programs are developed primarily for our physicians, but all area doctors are welcome to participate, as well. Our program is accredited by the Ohio State Medical Association, and activities include stimulating courses; department-specific, regularly scheduled conferences; enduring materials, and Internet-based activities, to name a few. Learning encompasses topics like diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease; the improvement of patient outcomes; physician-patient communications; professional development, and more.
This commitment to lifelong learning enhances patient care and identifies areas where further learning is needed. What’s more, we carefully track physician progress through post-activity evaluations, as well as monitoring patient care outcomes.

According to the American Heart Association (AHA), approximately 92% of sudden cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital. However, statistics show that if more people knew cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), more lives could be saved. Immediate CPR can double, or even triple, a victim’s chance of survival. ProMedica is proud to offer three AHA-approved emergency cardiovascular care programs. These include Basic Life Support (BLS) classes and CPR courses for the public and for healthcare professionals as well as pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) classes for current healthcare providers.
