The emergency room at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital, delivers comprehensive emergency services to all patients — 24/7. Patients are triaged and treated based on the severity of their illness or injury, and every patient receives a medical screening exam by an emergency department physician.

Comprehensive Emergency Care

Our full service emergency room is located on the second floor of the hospital and includes nine private exam and treatment rooms that are designed as flexible spaces to meet your needs. Our team is equipped to provide:

• Rapid resuscitation, stabilization and transfer for patients who are critically ill or injured.
• Emergency care from board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
• Age-specific care for pediatric and geriatric patients.

Our team also provides specialty consultation and referral for:

• Trauma.
• OB-GYN emergencies.
• Psychiatric emergencies.
• Stroke.
• Cardiac emergencies, including STEMI.

For patients who require advanced or specialized care, we leverage strong system support for seamless transfers. ProMedica Transportation Network (air and mobile) is available for urgent transports to ProMedica Toledo Hospital when needed.
