The curriculum for ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program is designed to provide comprehensive training for the resident-physician in all components necessary to fulfill the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education for Family Medicine. At the heart of this education, through all rotations and experiences, the importance of the patient-physician relationship viewed in the context of the family, is valued and nurtured.
PGY1
- Adult Medicine Inpatient - 16 weeks
- General Surgery - 4 weeks
- Emergency Medicine - 2 weeks
- Pediatrics Inpatient - 2 weeks
- Pediatrics Outpatient - 4 weeks
- Cardiology - 2 weeks
- Orthopedics - 4 weeks
- Women's Health, Gynecology – 4 weeks
- Women's Health, Obstetrics – 4 weeks
- Newborn Nursery - 2 weeks

- Radiology & Laboratory - Integrated
- Population Health

- ENT - 2 weeks
- Musculoskeletal - 4 weeks
- ICU – 4 weeks
- Radiology - 1 week
- Anesthesia - 1 week
- Endocrine - 2 weeks
- Pain Management - 2 weeks
- Pediatrics Emergency - 4 weeks
- Gastroenterology/Neurology - 4 weeks
- Women's Health (OB/Gyn) - 4 weeks
- Elective - 8 weeks
