Please bring your photo ID and insurance card. For overnight stays, bring anything your child would need to be more comfortable during their stay.
Make sure to leave anything that you don't need, especially valuables, at home. ProMedica is not responsible for any lost or broken personal items. If you must bring valuables, please store your them in a safe place when they aren’t being used.
Before you arrive for your hospital visit, it's important to tell us who can be reached in case of an emergency. This can be a family member or close friend. Make sure to ask your contact for permission before you fill out the form and that you have their correct phone number.
Understanding your child's procedure helps to prepare. Your child's doctor and medical team will explain their procedure to you and they want you to feel free to ask questions.
You are welcome to use the sleeper sofa in your child's room to stay overnight.
If you live outside of Toledo and have a child at ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital, you may wish to stay as an overnight or day guest at Toledo's Ronald McDonald House®. It's located just one block away from the hospital.
At ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital, there are visitor lounges on the third, fourth and eighth floors just across from the elevators. There are also vending machines, and free coffee and tea. We provide refrigerators and microwaves to preserve and prepare food you may bring from home.
Showers for parents are available. Soap and towels are provided. Please ask your child’s nurse for more information.
The hospital has access to free WiFi and local cable.
