To keep our patients, visitors and employees safe, many ProMedica services and locations are closing, or adjusting hours and processes. Below is a list that includes many locations that are currently closed or have implemented restrictions.
- Audiology: Services will be suspended effective March 23, 2020 through April 5, 2020. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with the suspended services on or before April 6, 2020.
- ForeverFit: Effective March 16, ProMedica ForeverFit fitness center is temporarily closed.
- Infant Monitoring: Home O2 re-qualification services will be suspended effective March 18, 2020 through April 5, 2020. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with the suspended services on or before April 6, 2020.
- Health Information Management (Medical Records): Effective immediately, all of the Health Information Management (medical records) departments are closed to walk in customers. The department will be available by phone to assist customers during normal business hours 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by calling 419-291-4172. Customers can also visit medical records for assistance. Chart pick up for discharge records will continue; however, it will be reduced to limit traffic in nursing units.
- Hyperbaric Oxygen: Emergent therapy (CO poisoning) will be provided. All other services will be suspended effective March 18, 2020 through April 5, 2020. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with the suspended services on or before April 6, 2020.
- Lab: Lab specimen collection services will continue during posted business hours. Planning is underway to consolidate patient collection sites.
- Pulmonary Function, Pulmonary Rehab & Cardiac Rehab: Services will be suspended effective March 18, 2020 through April 5, 2020. PF testing will be provided with the approval of the medical director. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with the suspended services on or before April 6, 2020.
- Radiology: The American College of Radiology fully supports and recommends compliance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines that advises medical facilities to reschedule non-urgent outpatient visits as necessary. We are complying with their guidance and will begin canceling arthrograms, routine fluoroscopy cases for GI, outpatient swallow studies, CT colonoscopy, musculoskeletal ultrasound, thyroid ultrasounds and ultrasound follow up for lesions (liver or kidney). This will be in addition to mammography screening, lung cancer screening and dexa appointments that are already suspended. Service will be suspended effective March 26, 2020 through April 5, 2020. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with suspended services on or before April 6, 2020.
- Sleep Lab: Services will be suspended effective immediately through March 23, 2020. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with the suspended services on or before March 23, 2020.
- Surgery: Effective at 5 p.m. on March 18, 2020, all non-essential surgeries and procedures at all ProMedica facilities (Ohio and Michigan) will be cancelled until further notice.
- Total Rehab: Outpatient PT/OT services will be operating on a limited basis. Speech Therapy will be temporarily suspended with the exception of swallow studies, evaluating on case-by-case. Plan to consolidate clinics and reduce hours of operation based on patient volume. The plan is to assess the ability to resume services or continue with the suspended services on or before April 6, 2020.
