Neurosciences Center
The Neurosciences Center in Toledo is part of an academic affiliation between ProMedica and the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. As leaders in health care and education, we’re committed to improving the quality of life for all patients with disorders and diseases of the brain, spine, nerves and muscles.

Technology
Our commitment to advanced technology is grounded in better outcomes for patients. We were the first in Ohio to offer BrightMatter™ technology, a 3D mapping technology used for brain surgery. Other recent advancements allow for improved testing of electrical activity in the brain and for improved testing to detect neuromuscular abnormalities.
Specialty Clinics
Our neuroscience subspecialties connect patients to care that is dedicated to their condition. We have Toledo’s first Comprehensive Stroke Center and the ProMedica Stroke Network, which spans northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. The ProMedica Spine care is a fast-track option for patients who want prompt access to a convenient, comprehensive evaluation of their back pain, spine pain or neck pain. Our network also includes pediatric neurologists and a neuro-ophthalmologist.
Education and Research
At the Neurosciences Center, science researchers interact daily with neurology and neurosurgery clinical staff. That means our physicians not only treat the symptoms of medical conditions but are also able to better understand and discover the underlying cause. This gives patients treated through the Neurosciences Center early access to the latest and most promising solutions to their conditions.
